Messe Dusseldorf partners with Grupo Cipa in Brazil

AMERICAS – Germany’s Messe Dusseldorf, organiser of several events in the wire, cable and tube sector, is launching a new event in Brazil with its local partner Grupo Cipa.

Wire South America takes place on 8-10 October 2013 at the Imigrantes Exposicoes Exhibition Centre in Sao Paolo. The event will be co-located with tube sector show Tubotech.

Messe Dusseldorf’s German Wire and Tube event is held every two years and draws 2,400 exhibitors and 69,000 visitors to Dusseldorf. The organiser has created other overseas events in the wire and tube sectors in the UAE, South East Asia, China and Russia.

Chairman and CEO of Messe Dusseldorf Werner Dornscheidt said: “We are developing Wire South America as an independent fair tailored to meet the local needs of the region. For our customers this is a gateway to enable them to access the growth market of South America – at an economically ideal moment.”

According to figures from AWO – the Foreign Trade and Investment Organisation of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the Brazilian economy saw its strongest growth rate at 7.5 per cent in 2010. For 2011, economists predict a rate of a little less than four per cent. The country’s annual exports increased by 33.9 per cent to US$242.5bn in the past 12 months.

Messe Düsseldorf Asia is launching a trade fair for the metal and steel industries in Indonesia on 20-23 February 2013 at Jakarta International Expo.
