Organisers move marine expo NEVA to ExpoForum from 2015

EUROPE - St Petersburg’s ExpoForum, Transtec, Neva Exhibitions, East West Exhibition Management and Dolphin Exhibitions have signed a long-term agreement to hold the next edition of marine expo NEVA in St Petersburg.

The biannual international exhibition and conference on shipbuilding, navigation, the port industry and ocean and continental shelf development, will take place at ExpoForum from 2015 until 2019.

In addition, a parallel agreement is being planned in relation to Transtec’s future international transport exhibitions and integrated international conferences on port development and shipbuilding.

The 2013 edition of NEVA will take place at its traditional venue Lenexpo, but from 2015 the exhibition will be held at the venue of Lenexpo’s new owner, ExpoForum, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.

According to ExpoForum, NEVA is growing 15-20 per cent every year; growth that means in 2015 Lenexpo will be “physically incapable of accommodating the NEVA”.

Over 700 companies from 45 different countries participate in NEVA, held with the support of the International Maritime Organization, Community of European Shipyards Association, Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the Marine Board of the Russian Government.
