The team behind the Elevate mentoring programme have announced the launch of its second intake for new mentees and mentors.

The second season is now live and registration will be open until 18 August.

Over the last six months Elevate has seen 90 paired mentors and mentees of varying levels from all over the events industry.

Organisers say the next intake already has 80 pre-signup requests.

Co-founder Courtney Baisch, talent and communications manager at Innovision, said: “We’ve got some awesome, very senior people giving their time and help, but we’d also love people interested in mentoring at a mid and more junior level to get involved. We provide lots of resource and support and it’s a great way to personally develop and extend your network.”

The programme includes a new feature for the second season which enables the opportunity for one-off, one-hour, mentoring sessions.

Elevate has attracted participants from companies including L’Oreal, Innocent, Clive, Amplify, Wonder, Sledge, and Santander.

Mentee Kelly Stewart, event ops manager from Be Vivid (now freelancing) said: “It was invaluable networking and insight for me, my mentor was wonderful and we got on straight away… This type of scheme can benefit everyone as it did me.”

Mentor Andrew Dougan, head of experiential and growth from Geometry Global said: “I have been genuinely fortunate to learn and gain invaluable experience from some of the best in the industry – it has led to my own career success and Elevate has enabled me to pay it forward and back. There is no better feeling than knowing you are helping and inspiring colleagues and peers to drive our incredible industry forward.”
