Media 10 launches Ideal Home Show China in Shanghai - Media 10 directors and show ambassadors

The Ideal Home Show will venture abroad for the first time in its 109 years history, partnering with JD.com as 'Exclusive Strategic Online Retail Partner'.

The largest and longest running consumer exhibition in the world, the Ideal Home Show launches in China. Media 10, owner of Design Shanghai, the preeminent design event in Asia, held a press conference in the fashionable Xintiandi district in Shanghai to top international and Chinese press.

Founded in 1908 with over 70 million cumulative visitors, the Ideal Home Show will debut in China from December 14-17 this year, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.

Visitors will find a tailored selection of products and services distributed across six experiential sections including home renovation, home decoration, smart home, fashion and beauty, food & drink as well as modern family.

With thousands of products and over 300 brands from more than 20 countries, the event is targeting middle-class families seeking to enhance their lifestyles, particularly young couples and families.

With the fastest growing middle class in the world, China is the largest consumer of luxury goods in the world making it the perfect international extension for the event.

The Ideal Home Show collaborates with consumer experts including Gregg Wallace, George Clarke, Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen and Katie Piper in the UK.

Following in the tradition, Media 10 has also unveiled three local ambassadors for the Shanghai event: distinguished architect Shuhei Aoyama, celebrated interior designer Ben Wu and renowned international stylist Andy Koh.

Further, Media 10 has strategically partnered with e-commerce giant JD.com as its exclusive strategic online retail partner. The partnership will enhance the event’s digital transactions experience and enable visitors to purchase items on the spot.
