Event marketing specialist evvnt has expanded its global team with the appointment of Kent Daniels as managing director for the Middle East.

Formerly of the Dubai World Trade Centre, UBM and Messe Frankfurt, Kent will lead the London-based firm’s strategic planning and relationship-building across the region, with the goal of opening a regional office in Dubai during 2016.

Richard Green, evvnt CEO and founder, said: “Kent brings over a decade’s experience of working with the region’s major organisers and key publishing and media houses.

“We met Kent while pitching to the Dubai World Trade Centre who went on to become a client, it was clear from my first meeting that Kent was well versed in Dubai’s business and culture; he came across as a true professional. I’m personally excited to have Kent Daniels representing evvnt’s business launch in the GCC and Levant as the market is a perfect fit for our service.”

On the appointment of the newly created role, Kent said: “evvnt‘s online tools help event promoters to instantly reach the perfect audience across the world’s network of event listing sites, and is the only company in the market offering such services.

“There is a great opportunity here in the Middle East for evvnt to improve and elevate the events scene, providing accurate information in a timely manner to a range of communities. I believe it will be a game changer – and it’s great to be involved at this early stage.”
