FESPA Digital expands show floor due to increasing demand

EUROPE - Screen and digital printing association FESPA is preparing for the largest FESPA Digital to date in May.

Four months ahead of opening, the digital printing show has increased the show floor plan by 4,000sqm, and has now extended the gross exhibition space to 37,000sqm, branching into Hall A2. According to the organiser, FESPA Digital is already 10 per cent larger than the sell-out FESPA event in Hamburg 2011, and has the capacity to grow by a further 12 per cent.

The show is scheduled to be held on 20-23 May 2014 at Messe Munich, Germany, and could attract more than 13,000 visitors, up from 12,174 in 2012. Around 400 companies will be representing more than 450 brands.

“On the back of a phenomenally successful FESPA 2013 in London, and with a long track record of high-performing FESPA events in central Europe, we believed that our return to Munich would attract a great deal of interest from suppliers, and we’re delighted that the take-up is set to exceed our expectations,” said FESPA CEO Neil Felton.

“FESPA Digital Hamburg 2011 was a sell-out show, with all available space being committed by March, two months before opening. With FESPA Digital 2014, we reached the same point by the end of 2013, with five months still ahead of us. It’s a very encouraging indicator of the market’s confidence in FESPA, and of the growing optimism in the sector,” he said.

FESPA Fabric returns for its fifth year as part of FESPA Digital 2014 under the Dive Deeper into Garment Decoration and Textile Print campaign.

Features at FESPA Digital will include: the FESPA Awards Showcase, World WRAP Masters, Digital Conference Theatre, Signage Conference Theatre, Textile Conference Theatre, Garment Workshops, Digital Signage Experience and the Promotional Products zone.

The association recently announced three key appointments.
