Singapore Expo wins aviation tradeshow contract

ASIA - Singapore Expo (Singex) has expanded its aviation and aerospace-related event portfolio by partnering with Aviation Week until 2015.

The exhibition venue has signed up to be the new base for the next three editions of Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Asia (MRO) Asia Conference and Exhibition.

More than 2,500 visitors are expected to attend the trade event, on 29-31 October 2013.

Director of events and tradeshows at Aviation Week, Lydia Janow, said the show is moving from Marina Bay Sands because Singex offers a range of solutions including technology capabilities and Wi-Fi for the show’s delegates and visitors. The venue has partnerships with catering companies and hotels in walking distance and is close to the Seletar Aerospace Park (Singapore’s industrial park for the aviation and aerospace industry), Changi International Airport and other industry stakeholders.

“We are delighted to host an event of such scale like MRO Asia,” said Singex CEO, Aloysius Arlando. “Singex can ensure an exclusive meeting environment for MRO Asia’s exhibitors, conference delegates and trade visitors to interact and discuss the latest aviation trends and solutions with industry leaders and senior members of key international organisations.”

The organiser hailed a record turnout for its Dubai edition of aircraft shows.
