Reed Exhibitions China partners for scholarship programme

ASIA - Reed Exhibitions Greater China is expanding its scholarship programme for Chinese students studying event management.

The company has signed a new partnership with the National Society of Event Management Educators, representing 50 universities across the country, which will allow Reed China’s programme to be extended throughout mainland China.

Reed Exhibitions China launched this scholarship programme with Beijing International Studies University in 2007. The aim of this scholarship is to motivate students and cultivate their commitments to the industry while providing a bridge to link their future career. Students accepted on the programme not only receive financial assistance and job training during their studies but will also have an opportunity to work with the company after their graduation.

“We will continue to play our part in building greater resources for the events industry in China,” said then president of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, Preecha Chen. “I am proud that we are able to bring this programme to the next level and offer to the outstanding students across China.”

Since announcing the scholarship story, Chen has departed Reed Exhibitions Greater China to pursue personal interests in Thailand.
