Cruise show adds new feature zones

AMERICAS - UBM Live, organiser of Cruise Shipping Miami, is revamping the next edition of the show by adding theme pavilions and a new conferenceprogramme.

The show, set for 11-14 March at the Miami Beach Convention Center, will feature input from UBM Live's global cruise events including the recent Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific event in Singapore.

UBM Cruise Portfolio director Daniel Read said a new Green Cruising Pavilion will feature a showcase presentation theatre and networking area providing opportunities for cruise lines to present their needs and suppliers to present solutions and products.

“The Green Cruising Pavilion will highlight the suppliers of environmentally friendly products and services for the industry,” he said. “This covers both the technical side and businesses in the tourism space that offer eco-tourism solutions.”

UBM Live is also developing a destination solutions area where destinations and ports can highlight what is new in their region. This includes an amusements and recreation zone for suppliers of products like zip lines, coin-operated electronic games, rock climbing walls and other recreational attractions.

“Additionally, the show will feature a refreshed conference program that will be faster paced and more educational," said Read.

“We will have a focus on the above topics and the program is being developed in conjunction with the cruise industry to ensure we cover topics that really matter to our participants.”
