ASIA - Singapore venue and organiser Singex has confirmed its joint venture with Fiera Milano will lead to more global events in Asia as the two leading exhibition and conference organisers join forces.
Singex and Fiera Milano struck a formal partnership to create and own turnkey events in the global MICE arena, a partnership that has already resulted in integrated care and rehabilitation engineering industry event RehabTech Asia, which runs at Singex from 27 February to 1 March 2013.
The partnership is now hoped to attract interest and attention from industry players from Asia, Europe and South America.
“Singex is committed to the development of impactful international business events, and as such, we see a very strong synergy between Fiera Milano and Singex,” said Singex CEO Aloysius Arlando (pictured). “Through this alliance, we intend to bridge Europe and South America with Asia and launch new-to-market events such as RehabTech Asia – the first of more to come.
“Leveraging each other’s strengths and MICE expertise, we are confident that this joint venture will establish itself quickly as a leader within the Asian MICE industry.”
Enrico Pazalli, Fiera Milano CEO echoed the sentiment, confirming this was a key move for his company into Asia. “We see Asia as the next big MICE market, with Singapore at the heart of all the action. As the Asian consumer becomes increasingly sophisticated, interesting business and consumer events are also in demand,” he said.
“Singex’s strong Asian business and government contacts, as well as affiliations with leading international trade associations and organisations, make it an ideal partner for Fiera Milano’s foray into Southeast Asia and beyond.”
