UFI Industry Partners Working Group

In a world where innovation is key, the exhibition industry stands as a testament to the power of synergy among diverse stakeholders. The profound impact that collaboration has on our collective success cannot be underestimated.

From state-of-the-art exhibition stand design and construction, to technology solutions, service providers bring a wealth of skills and resources that enhance the overall attendee experience. They are also the backbone of our events, enabling organisers to create immersive, memorable environments that captivate audiences.

“At UFI, we launched the Industry Partners Working Group with Ravinder Sethi from R.E. Rogers India as inaugural chair in 2017 to provide our partner members a platform to discuss critical issues, share best practices and conduct sector specific research. Ravi has since passed the baton to chair Sebastian Witt from jwc and vice-chair Tanya Pinchuk from ExpoPlatform who have exciting plans to drive greater awareness of the importance and impact of industry partners and their symbiotic relationship with organisers, venues and the wider exhibition industry,” says Kai Hattendorf, UFI CEO.

In this first spotlight on exhibition industry partners, we highlight the three finalists of the 2023 UFI Industry Partner Awards representing three different facets of services: Government, Technology, and Marketing.

International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan (TITA) – Catalysing advancement in the business events sector [Winner, 2023 UFI Industry Partners Award]

As the government agency at the forefront of Taiwan’s MICE industry, one of TITA’s core objectives is advancing technological innovation. TITA spearheaded initiatives such as the EXPO-TECH programme, uniting with technological institutions and AI, IoT, AR/VR, and 5G partners. This collaboration resulted in a blend of online and offline experiences, enhancing digital exhibition services. TITA and other agencies also showcased Taiwan’s MICE offerings globally, integrating technologies like AI, advanced displays, electronic paper, and the Metaverse to create digital solutions for the industry.

TITA’s integration of Taiwan’s Flexible Active-Matrix Mini-LED, coupled with AI gesture recognition, transformed exhibition halls into immersive 3D digital spaces. TITA has also collaborated with Taiwan’s e-paper leader to introduce carbon-reducing technology for applications like e-posters and e-badges.
