Registration open for UFI Global Congress in Bangkok

Registration has opened for the 86th UFI Global Congress 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Over 500 delegates from the global exhibition industry are expected to attend an event hosted by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, 6-9 November. The theme this year will be ‘Platforms of Trust’.

cgThe UFI Global Congress is exclusive to the association’s members and brings together organisers, venue operators, service providers and industry associations from over 50 countries.

“Trust forms the basis for most human relationships, including when doing business. In today’s modern, dematerialised world, there is one industry where strong human relationships continue to be forged, where people do business face-to-face, where there is trust. That industry is the exhibition industry,” said Craig Newman, UFI President.

The UFI Global Congress rotates each year and, in 2018, was held in St Petersburg (Russia). In 2020, Oman will host the event, while the 2021 host will be announced later this year.

The global association of the exhibition industry, UFI directly represents around 50,000 exhibition industry employees globally, and also works closely with 60 national and regional association members. More than 780 member organisations in 86 countries are presently signed up as members and over 1,000 international trade fairs bear the UFI approved label, a quality guarantee for visitors and exhibitors alike.

TCEB is promoting the government’s economic ‘Thailand 4.0’ policy and targeting 10 key industries to align with international interests and be future-ready, including in the exhibition sphere.
