Reed Travel Exhibitions has promoted Angela Sciacca (pictured) to project manage the final edition of the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meeting Expo (AIME) under its management. She will be responsible for the overall delivery of the 2018 show in Melbourne.

Sciacca has worked as operations manager for AIME since 2004 and has been in the exhibition industry since 1992.

Kerry Prince, ibtm Events portfolio director, said of the appointment: “We are very pleased to have Angela move into this role given her extensive involvement with AIME over the years and her operations background.

“As this is our final show for MCB, we are committed to ensuring a fantastic experience for all, to ensure our legacy remains strong in the business events community.

“We would like to thank the outgoing exhibition director, Ian Wainwright for his hard work and passion for the industry over the past two years.”

Cici Chen, meanwhile, senior project director for Reed’s Beijing MICE show ibtm china, has departed. Christine Guan has been appointed event director. She was recently with SinoExhibition International, UBM and, previously, Reed Exhibitions. Prince said: “We are delighted to have Christine join us to lead the ibtm china team… Christine is extremely well qualified to take the reins at ibtm china and we’re looking forward to another successful edition this August in Beijing and to continuing to grow and evolve the event in the future.”
