The PLAST-International Exhibition for Plastics and Rubber Industries organising secretariat has announced it is to hold the next edition of its event in Milan, 4-7 May 2021.

The three-year cycle will return to the Fiera Milano Rho-Pero fairgrounds brining PLAST together for a second time with the The Innovation Alliance’s four shows covering the capital machinery industry.

“The broad approval expressed by exhibitors and visitors alike for the formula piloted in 2018,” said Alessandro Grassi (pictured), President of AMAPLAST and of show organiser, “has more than convinced us to renew the agreement with the organising committees of the other four fairs taking part in the innovative tradeshow format (IPACK-IMA, MEAT-TECH, PRINT4ALL, INTRALOGISTICA ITALIA).”

The last edition of PLAST 2018 registered 1,500 exhibitors in 55,000sqm of exhibition space and drew 63,000 visitors.

Foreign representation was up at PLAST in 2018, partly thanks to over 30 official delegations.

In all, six exhibition halls were used in 2018 for what represents an important sector in Italian manufacturing, with a production value estimated by the trade association AMAPLAST at €4.7bn.
