Easyfairs appoints managing director

Jeroen van Hooff is bringing Easyfairs into The Netherlands.

Easyfairs has appointed Jeroen van Hooff to head up the management team announced in April 2017 following the integration of Evenementenhal, which it acquired one year ago.

The new managing director brings experience of talent management and call centre operations.

Confirming Van Hooff’s appointment, Easyfairs founder and CEO Eric Everard said: “The events business is first and foremost a people business and Jeroen will draw on his extensive experience in recruitment and talent management as well as call centre operations to ensure our future success in The Netherlands. Easyfairs and Evenementenhal have successfully merged into a single corporate entity in The Netherlands and we have a clear new organisational structure in place. Jeroen’s appointment completes the picture.”

In April, Easyfairs appointed Cornelien Baijens and Martine Bramer-Bekmann as directors to lead all Easyfairs events and the exhibition halls in Gorinchem, Hardenberg and Venray. Reporting to Jeroen van Hooff, Baijens, who has been with Easyfairs NL for more than 13 years, is responsible for all commercial tasks for the Gorinchem location. Bramer-Bekmann, who served with Evenementenhal for 14 years, is similarly responsible for Hardenberg and Venray.

Van Hooff said: “Since the merger, Easyfairs has moved into the global Top 20 in the exhibition industry. My goal is now to lead the company to be Number 1 in The Netherlands. This means we will need to recruit and develop talents to support growth as well as optimising our telesales processes in order to launch new events and build relationships with new prospects.”

Van Hooff will begin with Easyfairs on 1 October 2017 and was until now Board member of ManpowerGroup The Netherlands.

Since 2013 Jeroen van Hooff has been a member of the leadership team at HR service provider ManpowerGroup Netherlands. As managing director he was responsible for ManpowerGroup Solutions and subsequently for Marketing & Communication and Business Development for ManpowerGroup Netherlands.

Before joining ManpowerGroup, Van Hooff was active as managing director of the leading recruitment company Randstad and CEO of customer contact specialist Tele'Train-Verint.Van Hooff is chairman of the NCCA foundation.
