Jarvis Exhibitions enters liquidation

UK - Jarvis Exhibitions, the family-run organiser of a series of career fairs across the UK, has ceased trading after 38 years. It told EW it will not be running any events in the foreseeable future and is “in liquidation”.

The organiser says it has cancelled the 10th edition of its Careers and Jobs Live Excel for last weekend (18–19 April) at Excel London, which attracts over 150,000 visitors and 900 exhibitors annually. “The event is no longer taking place and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

“Jarvis Exhibitions regrets this unavoidable outcome but appreciates the huge support of sponsors, exhibitors and members of the public over such a long period of time,” says the company.

The exhibition was to include the Thames Gateway Enterprise, Training and Jobs Fair, London and Thames Gateway Graduate Recruitment Fair, Construction Web and a virtual exhibition.

Exhibition News recently reported that Jarvis Exhibitions’ Bruce Birchall left the company after 10 years. Birchall, built and grew the Careers, Skills and Jobs Live brand over the past decade to become one of the largest annual careers and training event in the UK.
