International exhibition and events and services consultancy, MBB-Consulting, has announced the formation of the MBB-Consulting Partner Group, with Tony Calanca, Chris Meyer, and Andrew Furness as founding members.
MBB-Consulting will continue to provide senior consulting services but will also now leverage collective resources and management capabilities from the newly formed Partner Group.
MBB’s consultancy arm covers five distinct areas: strategy; business recovery and agility; sales and pricing; M&A and due diligence; and digital.
Tony Calanca joins with over three decades of experience leading in the exhibition industry, managing domestic and international trade and consumer shows for Reed Exhibitions (RX), Advanstar, UBM and Informa. Most recently, he served as executive VP at Informa Markets, “I experienced the high quality consulting work of MBB-Consulting Group during my time at Informa and I’m honoured to join the MBB- Consulting Partner Group as a founding member,” he said.
Chris Meyer will also join as a founding member and brings experience from his former role as executive director of the World Trade Center (WTC) Las Vegas. “Forming the MBB-Consulting Partner Group is a huge achievement; MBB is the only agency to offer a unique mix of senior consulting and operational expertise in the exhibition industry. I am thrilled to be a founding member,” said Meyer.
Andrew Furness also becomes a founding member of the new group and specialises in sustainability, commercial due diligence and business strategy. He has held a number of senior roles within market leading companies and, before becoming a consultant in 2018, he was a divisional director at Tarsus Group where he oversaw the management of the Group’s Turkish portfolio.
“Bringing the MBB-Consulting Partner Group together reflects the consulting quality MBB has been proud of for many years,” said MBB-Consulting founder Matthias Tesi Bauer, who himself offers 18 years’ experience working for the world’s largest show organisers as group portfolio director, business development director and e-business director.
MBB said it would be releasing interviews with each MBB-Consulting Partner Group member in the coming month by way of providing market insights in to the global exhibition industry.
