IT&CM China and CTW China postponed due to coronavirus

MICE industry trade shows IT&CM China and CTW China have been postponed due to the ongoing threat of the novel coronavirus.

The co-located events were set to take place from 24-26 March, but have been postponed to 3-5 August. They will still be taking place in the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing.

In a statement, organisers TTG and CITS MICE said: “This course of action of deferring mass gatherings including large-scale exhibitions and conferences like IT&CM China and CTW China, is in line with advisories by health and government authorities (e.g. WHO) to prevent, contain, and mitigate spread of the virus.

“Further, as the status of the outbreak is constantly evolving, the postponement of the event is deemed to be the most appropriate step at this point when travel risk to / within China is heightened, and health and safety are immediate concerns on the top of everyone’s minds.”

TTG adds that delegates and partners who have already confirmed attendance will be contacted by its liaison team to discuss options.
