Cecilia Lavin, head of EMEA sales at One World Rental, has been appointed as the new regional vice-president EMEA for the International Live Events Association (ILEA), a global community for creative event professionals.
Overseeing the Europe, Asia, Middle East and Nigeria Chapters of the global association, Lavin will be supporting regional leadership teams with the aim of creating an inclusive and inspiring global community that develops and engages event professionals.
One of the first tasks under Lavin’s leadership will be overseeing the newly reformed ILEA Europe Chapter, which sees the UK Chapter and pre-existing Europe Chapter consolidate to create one unified European leadership team and membership base.
Commenting on her appointment, Cecilia stated: “Having been involved with ILEA on a regional and international level for 10 years, I am excited to have the opportunity to work directly with our growing Chapters across EMEA and Asia.”
Cecilia will report to the incoming International Board of Governors including the new international president Corinne Kessel CSEP.
Speaking of Lavin’s appointment, Kessel said: “In the role of regional vice-president of EMEA, Cecilia will play a critical role in bringing our ILEA International strategies to our incredible EMEA members and chapter leaders. Through the power of collaboration and communication, Cecilia will deliver ILEA's brand voice and member value across the EMEA landscape for the next year."
