IEG reports consolidated revenue of €72.7m

Italian Exhibition Group's (IEG) financial report revealed total consolidated revenue of €72.7m ($72.6m) and a net financial position of €117.3m ($117.2m).

According to IEG CEO, Corrado Peraboni, the result confirms that the trade show and congress group is moving towards pre-pandemic levels. In addition to approving the financial report, IEG’s Board of Directors co-opted Gian Luca Brasini as a new member of the Board.

Main results for the first half-year 2022

The Group reported:

  • Recorded revenues of €72.7m ($72.6m) - an increase of €65.6m ($65.61m) compared to the first half-year of 2021
  • A positive EBITDA of €3.4m ($3.42m), showing an increase of €17.5m ($17.4m)
  • An adjusted EBITDA of €5.7m ($5.6m), an improvement of €19.3m ($19.2m)

The results follow the Group’s held events, such as Vicenzaoro January, which also had a positive impact on Related Services.

In the first half of 2022, 51 congresses were held at the two venues of Palacongressi and Vicenza Convention Centre in Rimini, Italy. These venues saw revenues of €5.58m ($5.57m): a recovery of €5.5m ($5.4m) compared to the same period in 2021.

Board co-opts Gian Luca Brasini

Brasini, IEG’s new Board member, has a degree in economics and commerce. He is currently a top manager at Maggioli Spa, an Italian global provider of application services and publishing solutions to local P.A. He is also marketing supervisor at EHF Marketing GmbH, which manages the marketing rights of handball’s Champion's League - which is part of the Vienna-based EHF (European Handball Federation).
