UK’s first Hemp & CBD tradeshow returns to the NEC

Hemp & CBD Expo is set to return to Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, 14-15 September and organisers are confident of attracting 8,000+ visitors.

Hemp & CBD Media brings the second edition of its show to the NEC’s Hall 17. It follows the success of the inaugural show in March, with organisers taking 30% more space for the autumn edition.

The Hemp and CBD Expo is the first of its kind in the UK - a tradeshow solely dedicated to hemp products and the CBD (Cannabidiol) industry. Exhibitors will come from every step of the supply chain, say organisers who expect 150 of them. There will be two seminar stages and the Hemp & CBD awards ceremony.

The event targets Cannabis industry influencers and those looking to educate themselves about an industry which is experiencing significant growth.

Fifty industry speakers/influencers are lined up for the seminars to educate and inform and include UK celebrity doctor and special guest, Dr Christian Jessen.

When asked about CBD products Dr Christian said: “CBD seems to be popping up everywhere. As a ‘wellness’ product there are some quite frankly outrageous claims being made. I am aware that the various components of cannabis may have some benefits, but more detailed research is needed.”

Tommy Prendergast the event manager said: “Dr Christian has strong opinions on a range of issues, his views are respected and based on hard evidence. We are convinced that Dr Christian will bring a voice of reason to the proceedings.”

Medical expertise is also represented by Dr Dani Gordon, an expert in clinical cannabinoid medicine after treating 2,500+ complex care referral patients in Canada.

Industry trade bodies such as the Cannabis Trade Association UK, CannaPro, European Hemp Industry Association and the British Hemp Association will also be represented.

Platinum sponsors of the event, Gencanna’s President Steve Bevan (pictured), said: “The Hemp and CBD Expo is the premium event to attend in the UK. Their high level of efficacy and standards mirror that of Gencanna and we are proud to be the lead sponsor of the event.”
