Held every three years, ICSES represents a top-level meeting for surgeons who specialise in shoulder and elbow surgery. The congress is expected to welcome more than 3,000 international participants.

Rome’s win over Boston USA, was announced after the final vote, held in Jeju (Korea).

Global PCO AIM Group started working on this bid in 2014 and dealt with local institutions.

The La Nuvola Congress Centre is a futuristic multifunctional centre, designed by Italian Starchitect Massimiliano Fuksas and is characterised by innovative features and the use of technologically advanced materials.

Presidents of the Rome Congress, professors Stefano Gumina and Alex Castagna, said: "It's a great victory, we are very proud of it and we are sure that ICSES 2022 will be a very successful event for Rome and for the global scientific community. This important achievement is the result of a great teamwork.”

“This is an important acquisition for Rome which will soon become a reference point for international association congresses. I am also very proud to have undertaken this collaboration with AIM Group International and look forward to the acquisition of other international congresses.”
