Pharmaceutical expo sees exhibitor rise in Japan

ASIA – The Japanese arm of Reed Exhibitions has hailed its pharmaceutical trade show in Tokyo a success, with an eight per cent rise in exhibitors.
 
The 26th edition of Interphex Japan was held on 10-12 July at the Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, co-locating with the seventh In-Pharma Japan.
 
The organiser said this year, the number of exhibitors rose to 970 compared to 892 in 2012. The show was divided into 11 areas, including the Materials Process Zone, BioPharm, Water Production and Control, Logistics, and Plant Engineering.

More than 940 professionals from the pharmaceutical industry attended the related conference, featuring seminars on growth strategies and challenges to innovation and health costs.
 
The event attracted 32,762 visitors, down from 33,038 in 2012.
 
The next edition of Interphex Japan will be held on 2-4 July 2014 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.

Reed Exhibitions saw a 22 per cent rise in visitors at its recent beauty and cosmetics show.
