Middle East Event Show gets second outing

UAE -  Middle East EVENT Show has opened for the second time following a successful launch in Dubai last year.

The exhibition, organised by Informa Exhibitions at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 1 to 3 May, was opened by Dubai’s director general of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Khalid A bin Sulayem.

It aims to provide suppliers from the MICE, events and entertainment sectors with a platform to present their products, services and technologies to planners and buyers from event agencies, exhibition and conference organisers, concert and festival promoters, and destination management companies.

The organiser claims event marketers from corporate organisations will also find the exhibiting companies relevant and useful for their corporate event management purposes.

In addition to the exhibition, there are seminars, interactive workshops and panel discussions on subjects such as The Evolution of Events in the Region by The Talent Brokers; Win that Government Pitch by HQ Creative; Protecting Unique Ideas by Action Impact; and The Next Step for Events.

The Social Media Forum, which ran alongside a separate event last year in Abu Dhabi, will return on 3 May with Middle East EVENT Show by popular demand, and will focus on building and defining brands in the social media, how it is transforming our businesses and how we should focus on return of interest rather than return of investment.

The UAE has launched its campaign to host the 2020 World Expo in Dubai, a campaign that would see the Emirates invest $4bn in infrastructure.
