AUSTRALIA – Reed Gift Fairs plans to go ahead with its usual gamut of five yearly fairs despite Gift and Homewares Australia cancelling one of its Home and Giving Fairs earlier this month.
Reed will run its five gift fairs as originally planned including Melbourne February, Sydney February, Brisbane July, Melbourne August and Sydney September. The gift shows will take place at the respective Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centres.
Gift and Homewares attributed its decision to reduced demand from the market for its fairs, but Reed saw no need for scaling back its events.
“Reed Gift Fairs will continue to support the business growth needs of those retailers that can get overlooked or overwhelmed at the national fairs, or those who simply want a more relaxed environment and pace in which to do their buying,” said exhibition director Omer Soker.
