The Cool Career, Business Chicks and AV24/7 partner to create CAREERCON

Australia-based exhibition organiser, The Cool Career, has announced a new partnership with AV24/7 and Business Chicks to produce a virtual career exhibition.

CAREERCON will be held 11-12 September 2020 and will be delivered virtually on a platform created by virtual and hybrid event specialist, AV24/7.

Over 3,500 people have registered for the event targeted mainly at Australian school leavers and young people seeking a new career option.

Kura Antonello, creator of The Cool Career, said: “We’re really excited about taking the careers expo online for the first time – we’re seeing a huge take-up in registrations from young people in need of inspiration and hope.

“For years we’ve been working with schools by taking career conversations right to the students – we wanted to make sure that we could still help girls in 2020 and ensure they didn’t feel that 2020 was a lost year.

“There’s a lot of confusion about how disrupted studies will affect getting into university or vocational courses. So, we thought we’d take our experts into the virtual event setting and connect them with the thousands of girls wanting to understand where to next in their career options.”

Co-owner and general manager of AV24/7, Libbie Ray, said: “We’ve been helping lots of companies deliver virtual and hybrid events. When the opportunity arose to deliver our services to this important initiative, we grabbed it with both hands.”

The two-day live streamed event will include presentations, panel discussions and masterclasses with presenters from a broad range of vocations and professions. Speakers include Melissa Leong, TV Judge for MasterChef Australia; Michelle Mathews, marketing manager at Medibank; Cait Miers, photographer and Libbie Ray.

AV24/7 will be providing a customised streaming page, high definition streaming from AV24/7's Sydney control room, integrated audience interaction, a production team and management, speaker management through virtual green rooms and content management.
