The Society of Independent Show Organisers (SISO) is surveying its members ahead of the creation of a new Special Interest Group (SIG) for sharing creative product ideas and best practices that can generate profitable new online revenue activity for show organisers.
SISO says that, against the backdrop of Covid-19, members have been launching and emphasising such products and services to their communities, adding that “most common and obvious activity is around virtual events, but the examples include many other profitable online formats. These formats leverage and support the live event community as profitable new digital products and services”.
To kick off the new SIG activity, SISO is running a survey on the topic of generating online digital revenues and hopes, says Executive Director David Audrain, to surface specific examples of online activity that can start to frame the new interest group.
