Multiple shows in China postponed due to Covid-19 concerns

In view of current pandemic circumstances in China, ISH China & CIHE, ISH Shanghai & CIHE, and Formnext + PM South China, have been postponed.

ISH China & CIHE will now take place from 11 – 13 May 2023 at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. ISH Shanghai & CIHE will be deferred until autumn 2023 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, however, the exact date of the event has not been announced.

The two shows cover the HVAC sector in Asia, including products and technologies, intelligent control, home comfort, and plumbing.

Richard Li, managing director of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, said: “With the evolving situation, we have decided to hold the fairs at later dates. Given the global profile of our exhibitors, the decision was made to ensure the welfare of all participants and to limit the risk of disease transmission.”

Hongbo Li, deputy general manager of CIEC GL events (Beijing) International Exhibition Co Ltd, added: “Due to present circumstances, we all believe it is best to delay the fairs to provide as much certainty to the event’s participants as possible.”

“As we look forward to the next editions, we hope that more industry experts will be able to participate alongside the exhibitors in both our trade fair platforms in China.”

Both shows will be headed by the biennial ISH event in Frankfurt, Germany, focusing on HVAC and water, which will next take place from 13 – 17 March 2023.

In addition to the two shows, Formnext + PM South China has been postponed. Due to take place from 14 – 16 September 2022 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, the postponement was also due to concerns surrounding the city’s increasing Covid-19 cases.

Jointly organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt and Uniris Exhibition Shanghai Co Ltd, Formnext + PM South China focuses on manufacturing sectors in China.

These include advanced technology and equipment categories such as additive manufacturing, powder metallurgy and advanced ceramics-related materials, designs, software, and processing technologies.

199 brands and, 330 visitors attended the show’s 2021 edition. Formnext + PM South China forms a part of a series of international events hosted in Japan, Germany, and the city of Guangzhou in China.

ISH Shanghai & CIHE and Formnext + PM South China have stated that they plan to announce their new dates as soon as possible.
