MF Trade Fairs India and Virtual Info Systems to redirect expo traffic to ‘Smart Mobility Expo’

Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India has joined forces with Virtual Info Systems to organise ‘Smart Mobility Expo’, India’s only integrated expo that will cover smart mobility, traffic, transport, parking and road infrastructure.

This collaboration signals expansion and consolidation of the existing show profiles:  TrafficInfra Tech Expo, ParkingInfra Tech Expo and RoadInfra Tech Expo, which will now unite under the Smart Mobility Expo banner.

The upcoming edition of Smart Mobility Expo covering TrafficInfraTech Expo, Parking InfraTech Expo and RoadInfraTech Expo, is scheduled to run 10–12 October 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India says it will channelise its vast network in expanding the Smart Mobility Expo. On this strategic collaboration, Mr Raj Manek, executive director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, said: “I am glad that we have entered into this partnership for a show which has the potential to change the landscape of Indian mobility and transport infrastructure. India’s rapid urbanisation and the much-talked-about successful digital revolution are all set to transform the way India will commute.”

“We are confident that the show will scale new heights. A series of new age and modern mobility solutions leveraging futuristic automated technologies like the IoT, AI, 5G Internet cloud engineering and more will seamlessly link the players from this industry with the key decision-makers to drive the change as the Government of India’s vision,” Manek added.

The show functions as a strong source of developing networks with government officials from associated departments.

Jayaram Nair, chairman, VIS Group described the collaboration as “a significant milestone in the passionate journey of TrafficInfraTech Expo. Together with other Expos over a decade, this will create a global platform for the Indian traffic and transport industry. Changing with innovations and worldwide mobility demands, it is important to address the mobility ecosystem holistically. We are sure this partnership will lead us to greater heights”.

According to the Market Research Future Report 2022 (MRFR), ‘Smart Transportation’ is set to propel advanced mobility facilities with an estimated market expansion of $320bn by the end of this decade. It is estimated that by 2050, 70% of India’s population will be residing in cities. India is currently one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and is also witnessing massive opportunities in the newly emerging mobility ecosystem and technologies to drive change.
