Messe Essen expands its event portfolio

Messe Essen in Germany is expanding its event portfolio. 656 ÉDITIONS, a French trade fair organiser, has chosen Essen as a further location for its CTCO trade fair. Alongside Lyon and Madrid, Essen will now be a host for the trade fair for promotional garments and gifts. The first event is scheduled for 11-13 January 2022. 

Oliver Kuhrt, managing director of Messe Essen, said: “Another fair fills our calendar of events. This clearly shows that we are a sought-after address on the European trade fair market.”  

Pierre Mirlit, managing director of 656 ÉDITIONS, a subsidiary of the Infopro Digital Group, added: “Messe Essen’s high service standards and the quality of the venue convinced us. This combination was decisive for our decision to bring the successful concept of the CTCO to the German market as well.” 

CTCO Essen primarily addresses resellers and distributors of promotional products.  

The promotional products industry is on course for growth and recorded sales of €3.65bn in Germany in 2019, an increase of 2%. Across Europe, turnover in this period was around €15bn.
