The CEO of the Events Industry Council (EIC), Karen Kotowski, has resigned her post, the association has announced. She has led the 30-plus member EIC for 10 years.
Chair of the EIC’s Board of Directors Tina Wehmeir, said a search for a new CEO has begun. “We plan to identify a new CEO who brings a global perspective and background to help in further broadening the reach of our organisations and certification programme.”
The Board has said it will focus on building on the recent rebranding and look to extended the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) programme globally.
A search committee of seven industry leaders, headed by IMEX Group CEO Carina Bauer, has been formed to find and evaluate candidates to the post.
