22,000 delegates attend Organic Digital Trade Expo in UAE

The UAE’s Organic Digital Trade Expo ran virtually from 30-31 March, drawing an audience of more than 22,000 delegates.

The event brought together those who work in the organic, natural and bio-industries, following its successful virtual debut in 2020.

The event was inaugurated with a keynote speech by Dr Ashraf Mahate, chief economist at Dubai Exports. He commented: “The world of organic and natural products is fast evolving with new trends and consumer behaviors that producers and distributors need to keep abreast of.

“The digital trade expo is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the sector and meet virtually with counterparts. Having seen firsthand the physical event, I can truly recommend participation to take your business to the next level.”

Trends and products like plant-based foods, clean beauty, healthy breakfast cereals, functional beverages, nutraceuticals, and products with sustainable and socially responsible attributes led the way at the event.

The conference sessions and live stream demos will remain live on the event’s website until the next edition, which is due to take place on 29 – 30 June 2021.
