EEAA announces 2019 Awards for Excellence finalists

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has issued a list of 60 finalists and nominees short-listed by the 29 judges of its annual 2019 EEAA Awards for Excellence.

EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio said that submissions had been received across 15 award categories with many of the country’s leading organisers, associations, venues and suppliers showcasing their best work and the people in their organisations who bring these events to life.

The judging panel, chaired by Australian events industry leader John Trevillian AM, said that the judges had gone through a rigorous process in order to determine the finalists.

“Each category was separately assessed by three independent judges and it has been an extremely competitive process. The high standard of entries and the submission requirements such as auditing, research and references, enabled the panel to validate the merit of the finalists,” said Trevillian.

The Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner will be hosted by Jane Hutcheon, one of Australia's leading television journalists and creator of the ABC TV interview show, One Plus One.

The Awards dinner will take place at Myer Mural Hall in Melbourne on 4 December 2019.
