ExCeL London to make significant investment in its technology infrastructure

ExCeL London has announced “significant investment” running into “hundreds of thousands of pounds” in its technology infrastructure.

ExCeL has partnered with Ruckus Networks, to upgrade to the latest W-Fi standard (Wi-Fi 5), doubling the number of access points in each hall. This will allow the venue to increase the number concurrent users (client devices) to 100,000, an increase of 300%, further enhancing the experience for guests. The upgrade will also allow ExCeL to upgrade to Wi-Fi 6, in 2020, increasing speeds by a further 30%.

This upgrade has been timed to coincide with the opening of Sibos, the world’s premier financial services event, and Brand Licensing Europe, the leading licensing event in Europe.
