Italian Exhibition Group posts strong revenue growth

Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) has reported a strong growth in revenues in the first half of 2019 compared to the same period of the previous year.

The Italian organiser stages most of its events at its own venues in Rimini and Vicenza and, since 19 June, is a listed company on the Milan Stock Exchange.

IEG’s reported consolidated revenues as at 30 June 2019 of €100m (provisional data), up from the €77.3m reported for the first half of 2018.

This result follows a considerable 22.2% growth in revenues for the fiscal year ended 31 December, 2018. IEG also points to improved profitability in the various domestic and international business lines managed by the Group.

The IEG Group organises events in five main categories: Food & Beverage; Jewellery & Fashion; Tourism, Hospitality and Lifestyle; Wellness, Sport and Leisure; Green & Technology.

In recent years, IEG has been expanding abroad and has concluded joint ventures with local operators in the USA, UAE and China.

IEG closed its 2018 financial statements with total consolidated revenue of €159.7m, an EBITDA of €30.8m and a net consolidated profit of €10.8m.

In 2018, IEG was involved with a total of 53 organised or hosted tradeshows and 181 convention events at the exhibition and convention facilities located in Rimini and Vicenza.
