AUMA elects new Board Directors

The General Assembly of AUMA – the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry – has elected two new members to its Board of Directors: Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen, and Andreas Müller, Managing Director/Share Holder of Doepke Schaltgeräte, based in Norden, who was nominated by ZVEI Germany's electrical industry.

The following members were re-elected to the AUMA Board of Directors: Klaus Dittrich from Messe München; Hermann Giesser from Johannes Giesser Messerfabrik; Dr Christian Göke from Messe Berlin; Robert Andreas Hesse from Möbel Hesse; Thomas Kaeser from Kaeser Kompressoren SE; Ulrich Kromer von Baerle from Landesmesse Stuttgart, and Wolfgang Marzin from Messe Frankfurt.

Stepping down from the Board were: Martin Buhl-Wagner from Leipziger Messe; Wolfgang Mainz from Konditorei Brüder Oebel, and Walter Mennekes from Mennekes Elektrotechnik & Co. KG.

AUMA has 74 members, including 38 industry associations representing exhibitors, visitors and service companies, as well as 36 exhibition organisers. The AUMA Board of Directors has 22 member representatives, half of whom come from exhibition organisers and the other half from the exhibitor and visitor side in industry, commerce and skilled trades.
