NRL season kicks off at Royal ICC Brisbane

Queensland’s three National Rugby Leauge (NRL) clubs attended a Season Launch Lunch at the Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC), 3 March.

The lunch featured a line-up of NRL names from the Brisbane Broncos, North Queensland Cowboys and Gold Coast Titans, including coaches Anthony Seibold, Paul Green and Garth Brennan, along with the captains of each club.

The NRL season kicks off 7 March and the lunch involved a panel discussion with league experts and an audience Q&A with new Broncos coach Seibold and an interview with NRL CEO Todd Greenberg.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said almost 400 people attended the event.

“March is a busy month for the Brisbane Showgrounds, hosting 30 events including Beer InCider Experience (9 March), which is expecting almost 10,000 people,” Coyle said.

The Brisbane Showgrounds precinct is located just 1.5km from Brisbane’s CBD and is Queensland’s largest indoor/outdoor events site.
