Comexposium appoints new Chief Strategy Officer and new Director of M&A

Comexposium has announced that Severine Dubarry-Bardon will become the Chief Strategy Officer for the Group. Currently, she is Chief Development Officer for Comexposium. Driss Tazi, will becomes Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for the Group, succeeding Severine, as she steps into her new strategy role.

In both new roles, Severine and Driss will work closely with Renaud Hamaide, President of Comexposium, and Simon Foster, CEO of Comexposium, to achieve their objectives. In her new role, Severine will lead the Group strategy, partnering with the business unit directors to pursue the many facets of growth the business is targeting: acquisitions, launches, and organic growth. Driss, in his expanded role, will look after all M&A activity of the business managing the whole process of acquisition through to the integration of newly acquired company.

Renaud, said, “I have had the pleasure of working with both Severine and Driss for a long time in their roles at Comexposium, as well as in their previous roles, at Unibail-Rodamco and Paris Île-de- France Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), respectively. Severine began her career at Arthur Andersen working in auditing and consulting. After which, she spent ten years at Unibail-Rodamco, in a variety of roles, from asset management to managing operations of shopping malls in France. She joined Comexposium in 2010 as General Manager of the Sales & Leisure division. She was then made Chief Development Officer, in charge of mergers and acquisitions, as part of the development strategy with an international focus. Along with her team, Severine brought over 16 acquisitions into the business.

Driss Tazi joined Comexposium in 2015 after working for one of its shareholder, Paris Île-de-France Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), for 10 years in a variety of financial, analyst, and subsidiary management roles. At Comexposium he’s distinguished himself as a leader in the M&A team, and most recently, as Head of Integrations.

Simon Foster, CEO, said: “Both of these appointments are exciting for Comexposium. We have aggressive plans for the business, and with Severine leading our strategy, and Driss leading our M&A, we are confident we have the right people in to deliver our plans.”

Both appointments are effective immediately. Severine retains her role as part of the Comexposium Board as well as the Comexposium Executive Committee. As part of his new appointment, Driss becomes part of the Comexposium Executive Committee.
