ARCHITECT@WORK draws back the curtains in Paul Horn Halle

Tradeshow ARCHITECT@WORK maintained its reputation for putting on a unique take on the exhibition floor this December. This year’s edition in Messe Stuttgart marked the event’s first appearance in the new Paul Horn Halle (Hall 10) and drew 216 exhibitors.

The exhibition stands were separated by black Molton curtains, with four corner units set up in each box containing a multimedia console. “Innovations are the focus of ARCHITECT@WORK. Accordingly, only new and innovative products that have first been approved by a panel of judges may be showcased,” said Barbara Lagae, the show’s Exhibition Manager.

The event attracted 3,000 registered visitors, all of whom were permitted gain free access to the event as industry members.

The organisers’ promise is that the exhibition offers innovations and a chance to meet the manufacturers of new products and not traders.

The exhibitors concentrate fully on their innovations without having to worry in advance about the size of the stand or construction. Refreshments were also provided in the aisles between the modules.

ARCHITECT@WORK originated in Belgium before branching out to 15 countries. It is chiefly held in Europe, but also in Switzerland, Turkey and Canada. The German edition moves between different cities each year.

“Within just two years, we put on 28 events,” reveals Lagae. Adding: “In our experience, architects prefer not to travel too far, which is why our concept of bringing the trade fair to the visitors has been such a success.” Besides innovative products, industry members are also treated to a special show, the theme of this year's show being ‘Textiles in architecture’.

ARCHITECT@WORK also features supporting events, including lectures on architecture, landscape design, engineering and design.
