UK’s Digital Construction Week acquired by Diversified Communications Europe

Brighton-based Diversified Communications UK has announced the acquisition of Digital Construction Week – the UK’s leading trade show dedicated to digital construction, engineering, design, manufacturing, and operation.

Digital Construction Week (DCW), which has grown rapidly since its launch event in 2015, has become known for its comprehensive, high-quality seminar and conference programme and for the seniority of delegates who annually attend.

The latest edition, 17-18 October, was its most successful to date, with 6,500 visitors and 200 exhibitors.

The event will fit into Diversified’s international event portfolio, which includes: Commercial UAV Expo Europe in Amsterdam; DesignBUILD in Sydney; AEC Next Technology Expo & Conference and SPAR 3D in Anaheim, California; International LiDAR Mapping Forum in Denver, Colorado; and Commercial UAV Expo Americas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Diversified UK’s MD Carsten Holm (pictured) says: “It’s great to be welcoming Digital Construction Week, together with its co-founders Luke Collings and Oliver Hughes, to Diversified Communications. We have been watching the growing success of the event ever since Luke and Ollie launched it not so very long ago, and feel that their personal approach, customer focus, long-term vision and attention to detail is very similar to our own way of doing things. It’s also a great fit for our other successful events in this space, with real synergies across the shows, which will result in tangible benefits for delegates, sponsors and exhibitors across all events.”

Oliver Hughes and Luke Collings, co-founders of DCW, said: “We’re excited to continue growing DCW and playing our part in helping shape and transform one of the most important industries in the world… Being part of Diversified Communications will give us scale and support, which we need to continue to grow the DCW, and to fulfil the real potential for the event, its exhibitors and of course, visitors.”

The UK division of Diversified Communications now employs 110 staff and has doubled in size over the past three years.
