Two upcoming shows put Thailand’s construction industry on the road to greatness

INTERMAT ASEAN 2018 and Concrete Asia 2018 are two upcoming trade shows taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 6-8 September.

The shows will focus on the construction, infrastructure and concrete sectors in the region, and are organised by IMPACT Exhibition Management Co Ltd.

At a pre-show press conference, the Ministry of Transport shared their investment plans for the construction industry, which includes building and upgrading transport networks to meet the country’s needs over the next five years.

There was also a preview of some of the activities that will be featuring at INTERMAT and Concrete Asia, with exhibits from the Department of Highways, Expressway Authority of Thailand, Royal Irrigation Department, and the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning.

Mr Loy Joon How, general manager at IMPACT Exhibition Management, commented: “According to statistics from BCI Media Group, the construction market is worth over $250bn buoyed by rapid infrastructure developments.

“INTERMAT and Concrete Asia are strategically organised to provide business opportunities for the region. The participation of more than 500 exhibiting companies and brands from 14 countries reflects the market confidence that the industry has for the exhibitions.”

There will also be seminars conducted by industry specialists designed to help attendees understand the business landscape and optimise market opportunities. Among the associations hosting talks will be the Thai Contractors Association under H.M. the King’s Patronage, and the Department of Primary Industries and Mining.

In addition to this, the outside area of the venue will allow attendees to experience the latest machinery and equipment in real-life conditions. It will focus on tower cranes, excavators and concrete batching plants.
