London, Europe’s ‘technology capital’, became a nucleus of digital innovation as London Tech Week launched its fifth edition, 11-17 June. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, formally opened the festival on 11 June.
Co-founded by promotional agency London & Partners in 2014, LTW is London’s largest crowd-sourced festival of tech and featured live events across the city, covering topics like fintech, creative and enterprise tech and IoT.
Zoe Osmond, festival director, shared key insights ahead of this year’s festival: “With over 300 events, and over 50,000 attendees from 90+ countries across the iconic landscape of London, London Tech Week celebrates the companies and people driving innovation in the digital economy to shape the future of businesses, lives and society the world over.”
TechXLR8, London Tech Week’s flagship event, brought together eight conferences, 300 exhibitors, live demonstrations and numerous networking opportunities. Highlights at London Tech Week included: TechXLR8; LeadersIn Tech Summit; Wonder Women in Tech conference and careers fair; Sofar Sounds gigs series; AI events, including CogX 2018 Summit and The AI Summit; Createch 2018; Getahead festival; Virtual Reality Cinema; Future of Work Summit; and Tech Night: London Tech Week’s Official Party.
