Easyfairs acquires organiser UK Tech Events

Easyfairs has announced the acquisition of UK Tech Events Ltd, organiser of the Advanced Engineering UK portfolio of events.

Co-locating with the Aero Engineering Show, Composites Engineering Show, Automotive Engineering Show, Auto Electronics and the Performance Metals Engineering, the annual event attracted an attendance of around 12,000 from all parts of the advanced engineering supply chain in 2014.

Matt Benyon, managing director, Easyfairs UK & Global said the acquisition “fits impeccably within the wider Easyfairs portfolio”.

He added: “Advanced Engineering UK is a vital industrial exhibition which sits at the heart of UK engineering. Since its launch in 2009, the event has experienced phenomenal growth.”

Since its inception, and under the stewardship of founding UK Tech Events co-directors Ian and Jini Stone, the event has evolved to incorporate new and emerging technologies.

Ian Stone, managing director of UK Tech Events Ltd, said: “Having developed the event for seven years, we are very proud that Advanced Engineering UK has earned its place as the leading event in the UK for this dynamic and evolving sector.

“We are confident that Easyfairs, with its experience in industrial markets, its international presence and successful business model, is the right company to take this event to the next level.”

The next edition of Advanced Engineering UK will take place on 4-5 November at the NEC.
