Designer appointed for green Swedish expo centre

SWEDEN - Erik Giudice Architects has been announced as the developer of the New Fair and Exhibition Centre in Malmo, a building that will feature one of the largest green roofs in the country.

The Stockholm-based architecture firm has designed the 19,000sqm Malmo New Fair and Exhibition Centre to include exhibition halls, conference rooms, restaurant, offices, and commercial and support spaces. Its design allows for the future expansion of the exhibition space by approximately 5,000sqm.

The venue features a versatile and multifunctional exhibition hall positioned behind a frontage of busy public and commercial spaces.

Erik Giudice Architects will work alongside property developer Midroc Property Development in collaboration with the city of Malmo. The new building will be located in Hyllie, a new mixed-development area south-east of central Malmo.
