Educating RTE signs global deal with MeetingMetrics

WORLD - Reed Travel Exhibitions has signed a deal with MeetingMetrics to measure educational content at three of its global meetings industry trade shows.

The deal follows a pilot last year at EIBTM, whereby educational seminars over the three days of the Barcelona show were evaluated using MeetingMetrics’ online survey and reporting tools.

Covering EIBTM in Barcelona, CIBTM in Beijing and AIBTM in Baltimore, the new agreement offers tools for maximising meeting effectiveness, measuring meeting results and demonstrating value and return on investment.

Participants at all the education sessions will be able to log onto the system after each session ends through PDAs, notebooks and PCs.

Commenting on the agreement, MD GuideStar Research/MeetingMetrics Ira Kern, says the partnership with Reed will provide “efficient, professional-level session evaluation experiences for thousands of participants at their global portfolio of events”.

Kern says analytical reports including session, speaker, learning effectiveness can be produced in print or emailed directly from the system in minutes.

Head of marketing and hosted buyer programmes, RTE Meetings and Events Portfolio, Mandy Torrens, says she is “looking forward to implementing what has proved to be such an effective, sustainable evaluation tool at our professional education programmes at EIBTM, CIBTM and AIBTM”.
