MALDIVES - The Maldives government signed an agreement with Dutch Docklands of the Netherlands to develop, operate and manage several floating properties, including a convention centre.
Dutch Docklands specialises in tailor-made floating developments, while keeping underwater ecological impact at a minimum.
After signing the agreement at a ceremony, chairman of the privatisation committee said the Maldives government would also go to the Dutch company to develop floating housing units.
