IMPACT LAUNCHES EVENT CALENDAR APP
posted on: 11/1/2013 09:41:12

ASIA - Bangkok exhibition and convention centre Impact Muang Thong Thani has launched its Event Calendar Application on Android and expects to see a total of 200,000 users from two major Smartphone platforms by the end of 2013.

Android users can now search for calendar events including exhibitions, consumer or trade events, conferences, concerts, or other activities at Impact Exhibition Centre. Schedules and details of each event can be shown in both Thai and English. The application, downloadable from Play Store, adds functions that facilitate online users who seek events and promotions. Features include an event reminder, Facebook sharing function, application rating function, and push notification for new promotions from Impact outlets.

Managing director of Impact Exhibition Management, Paul Kanjanapas, said Impact has been offering the Event Calendar Application on IOS for iPhone users since early 2012. He claims it has been downloaded more than 80,000 times.

“We expect to see the number of Impact application downloads to mobile devices hit 200,000 by the end of this year,” he added. “This tool is not only useful for communicating with event visitors, it is also a marketing channel which we can conduct activities to draw more fans and business partners.”

Impact is hosting an exhibition and conference targeting the humanitarian and disaster relief industry for the first time later this year.
