Tel Aviv is to host for the first time, 16 April 2019, the International BigData – Healthcare conference. The event, organised by Big Data TLV, will focus exclusively on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in the healthcare sector.
The full-day event is aimed at clinicians, researchers, venture capitalists and startup representatives and organisers are confident of attracting a truly international audience of delegates and exhibitors.
In parallel to the conference programme, there will be a technical exhibition, offering companies and organisations an opportunity to present and promote related products, systems research and services.
Big data in healthcare is a hot topic and the conference will showcase how diseases and cures can be forecast on an individual basis and epidemics on a national basis. Israel’s hosting of the event will also showcase its digital mobile medicine sector which is opening up possibilities in making diagnoses from distance.
John Halamka and Joel Dudley from USA, two global experts on big data in healthcare will be the keynote speakers for the April conference, which is being organised jointly by the innovation center of Shiba Hospital in Israel and the innovation centre of the Mount Sinai hospital in New York.
Chairing the event will be Eyal Zimlichman MD, MSc and David L Reich MD.
Dr Zimlichman is Deputy Director General, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at Sheba Medical Center, Israel’s largest hospital, while Dr Reich, the Horace W Goldsmith Professor of Anaesthesiology, is President and Chief Operating Officer of The Mount Sinai Hospital and President of Mount Sinai Queens, both part of the Mount Sinai Health System, New York.
