Manchester-based event space EventCity is embarking on a tour of the UK this week, under the banner #EventCityInYourCity.

The team will start the 1,500 mile tour in the north, visiting agents in Manchester before stopping at Confex Future Focus, which takes place on 4-5 July at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse.

1,500 exhibition attendees will have the chance to experience the venue’s new in-house catering offering The Kitchen on stand F10, where they are serving canapés, macaroons and Manchester’s popular tart biscuits.

From there the team will head to Liverpool, Leeds and London in branded vehicles, delivering food from the Kitchen alongside presentations on their new vision for EventCity, and the regeneration of its TraffordCity home.

Simon Jones, sales director for EventCity, said: “This is the perfect time to take EventCity on the road to share the latest news with our agency partners. TraffordCity is benefitting from a £3bn investment programme over the next five years…this is already starting to attract a great deal of interest and enquiries for our venue.”

The EventCity tour will reach London on 11 July for two days, arriving in time to cheer on the cricket and keep attendees hydrated at the Sticky Wicket Fest in Regents Park - known as the event industry’s summer day out.

The tour will then continue to Cheshire, the Midlands and Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire, where the team will introduce EventCity to the attendees of a speed-dating event. From here, the tour will head back north to Yorkshire and finally to Manchester, where it will conclude on 20 July.
