Full service provider GES has achieved OHSAS 18001 certification for the second straight year, emphasising the company’s focus on safety delivery for its teams, clients and partners.

Workplace and onsite health and safety is becoming an increasingly important topic to the exhibition industry as a whole, with initiatives like Stop the Drop aiming to ensure contractors work safely during build up and breakdown.

OHSAS 18001 is an internationally applied British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems. It exists to help all kinds of organisations put in place demonstrably sound occupational health and safety performance.

Jason Stead, managing director UK, GES, commented: “The safety of our employees, clients and attendees is a top priority for GES and we are extremely proud of our teams who have really stepped up to the challenge – both on-site and at our own offices – to ensure we met the exacting scrutiny of independent auditors.

“Our customers expect and deserve the highest safety standards and we are delighted to share the news of a successful, second year of certification.”
